This was supposed to be a 'Let's compare' video, but as explained in the video itself, it wasn't worth the effort.
What made Impossible Mission such a great game was that, despite its relative simplicity, it played extremely well. Basic, but rock solid.
Impossible Mission II, made by a different team than the original, tried to spice things up by adding a lot of extras; sadly, after the initial 'cool!' factor had settled, it turned out to be no more than gimmicks - gimmicks that could hamper you just as much as help you.
I wasn't unhappy about buying this game and have completed it multiple times, but coming back to it after many years, it felt more annoying than exciting. Not bad, but definitely not reaching the 'Classic' status of the original - as they say, 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it' - wise words to live by.
The Amiga version? Sigh...
