PROLOGUE:
Your father lies in the hospital, terminally ill; weak, emaciated, hollow-cheeked and deep-set eyes, he looks at you as you quietly enter his room.

You only see your father in front of you, whom you have understood and loved more than ever since your last adventure.

Others simply went missing. So it happened that in the end only Marcus and I were left. The two of us reached the temple where the diamond is hidden. When we had already overcome many traps, we got lost in a maze. We lost sight of each other. Later I found Marcus impaled on a stake... '

Because suddenly I lost consciousness and found myself in a barren landscape. It was only by chance that I reached a village and was rescued. The natives were very helpful. They took me to the nearest airport, where a small transport plane took me. I gave the chief my diary out of gratitude and to be on the safe side, so that the Nazis would not get hold of it.
