Seems somewhat fitting due to the current state of the world. I took the trouble to translate this Italian sci-fi text adventure into English and put the translations onscreen. Completed it thanks to a solution found online.

STORYLINE (from Viking Magazine):
"When you are a citizen of Space and, like Morgan Tyler, often go from one System to another crossing the vastness of the stellar void, it is not difficult to run into unusual and often dangerous encounters.

It was during his return to Earth that Morgan had one of the most unforgettable encounters of his whole reckless life.

He was crossing the asteroid belt on the borders of our Solar System, when I noticed a broken transport spaceship next to him that appeared, as a superficial examination, clearly abandoned.

He pushed himself with his small spaceship to a distance that allowed him to open a clear radio contact and, possibly, allowed him a more satisfactory visual examination.

The first detail he noticed was the name of the spaceship: DISCOVERY.

The name was not new to him... I type the nine letters on the keyboard of the small on-board computer, following them with the request for information.

The computer screen shone for a moment, clearing, then several messages followed one another on the amber background, and Morgan had the confirmation of his suspicions: the Discovery was an exploration
spacecraft, sent to a distant planet for research purposes many years before.

All traces of it had been lost, so much so that its crew had been declared officially dispersed and a real funeral had been dedicated to the members with lots of honorary awards for the mission carried out until the last moment.

Morgan smiled: he imagined the faces of his rulers when they would see the old, dear Discovery appear on the screens of their observers!

I started radio contact, but his smile faded: the spacecraft's Onboard Computer had replied to his request for contact, and that was not a very positive indication.

However, I think it could have been a false alarm.

Probably the crew had performed the hibernation procedures and now the members were locked in the cryogenic chambers of the ship to overcome the long journey...

But Morgan didn't feel comfortable, so he decided to proceed to the rendezvous and get on the Discovery.

It was a decision that made him come face to face with a problem as big as a planet: what awaited him was soon to be announced as his spacecraft landed in the Discovery Docking Area.

A group of very dangerous Surveillance Droid headed straight for the door of his spaceship, barely giving him time to jump out to avoid their laser shots!

Morgan rushed past the hatch, rolling on the metal floor of the Dock Runway, while the thin but deadly rays of the lasers flickered around him, raising sparks and smoke from the affected surfaces.

In a moment he made a quick examination of the situation: the metal ladder to his right was the only way out, since the droids had now entered his spacecraft... beyond the ladder he would have found perhaps more trouble, but that was not the right moment for uncertainties... the droids were approaching!"
