Cactus McCoy, perhaps the best game ever made to feature a cactus protagonist who wanders the wild-west trying to break the curse placed on him. Well, granted, perhaps the -only- game to feature a cactus protagonist and all that jazz, but the point stands that it's a great game.

The game features excellent graphics and amazing music. The graphics are all extremely detailed, with attention paid to the tiniest thing giving it an extremely polished look. All the character and enemy animations are smooth, fluid, and natural. None of that jerkiness and clunkiness typically found in casual online games here, this is professional stuff.

All the previous levels have been leading up to this one, the Emerald Shrine. It's probably the simplest level of them all, but the final fight more than makes up for it. You simply walk from the start of the level to the final boss. Sure, there are a few enemigos along the way, but they're hardly any challenge. Still, they're good for picking up a weapon to use against the final boss. On the other hand, beating the boss using only your fists does have its advantages. The completing of a challenge being the main one. But we'll get to that later.

The first challenge is a bit silly. Along the way, you can find a squirt gun. If you grab it, you can wander the temple putting out the torches with it. Now, despite this being the final level, and your virtual life hanging in the balance, it's still a fun thing to do. And the name of the challenge, "Sidetracked" pretty much sums it all up.

Let's Get This Over With. No, it's not just a statement of frustration and determination, it's the name of the challenge. To get it, you have to beat the level in under two minutes and forty seconds, not an easy feat at all considering how tough the boss is.

And speaking of how tough the boss is, if you're feeling really tough and in need of a challenge, you can beat the boss into nothingness using only your bare knuckles to get the third challenge. It's extremely difficult, as not only does the final boss have two swords that seriously outreach your fists, but he also has two rapidly firing guns that even further outreach your fists. You'll be quite tempted to pick up a weapon from the enemigos he summons up, but keep your cool and keep your patience and it can be done.

The fourth challenge requires that you do a ×60 combo while fighting. It's advisable that you try this before getting to the boss, and instead do the combo on one of the mooks waiting outside the boss room as the boss character will easily beat you to death before you get anywhere near to 60.

The final challenge is perhaps the most challenging. You have to beat the boss without dying. It's doable, but it takes Mega Man level of precision, patience, and timing. Still, like the fisticuffs finale challenge, with a bit of practice, you can do it.

And that's it for Cactus McCoy, a great game, and definitely one for the hall of fame. And as Porky Pig would say, that's all folks!
