I played this months ago and I'm not sure there's been a change in the demo. Combat is alright, but it depends on if you get the weapon(s) you want during a run. There are upgrades that can make them better, but each time you get to a new location you'll be starting off with the basic starter weapon. It would make sense after a death/respawn, but I didn't like the way it played out in the demo. I've collected weapons, made better weapons, and I'm just throwing them away before I go to the next level? Seems odd.
