201Texas recently passed the bill requiring age verification before accessing adult materials online. What's shocking to me is that California is doing a very similar thing. Red and blue States tend to have very different ideologies but it's shocking to see that both of them agree on this egregious violation of my rights. The crazy part is that you have to verify with your driver's license and a third party company. We're just one of many states that have passed these type of age verification laws which resulted in most major adult entertainment sites blocking the state of Texas entirely. I believe that this is an egregious violation of my first amendment rights, right to privacy, and very costly to the state.
