Developed and published by Infogrames in 1993, "Shadow of the Comet" is an adventure game based on the Cthulhu mythos and short stories "The Dunwich Horror" and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth".

It's 1910. We play as John Parker, a photographer who is interested in the writings of one Lord Boleskine, who, in 1834, witnessed something during the passage of Halley's Comet in a particular place near the town of Illsmouth which drove Lord Boleskine mad, ending with him suffering a fatal heart attack in an asylum a few years later.
What mysteries will we uncover? Can I solve these puzzles in an adventure game I've never played and which has a reputation for being rather obtuse? Probably not but I'll try anyway.
