Call of Duty 3 was a launch game for the PS3, and Treyarch's second game in the series behind Big Red One on the PS2/Xbox/GCN. As a launch game, this game also pre-dates trophy support. As you may remember, Trophies were added later as a response the the 360's super popular Achievements system.

As a game itself, it's not bad, not great, even amongst pre-Modern Warfare Cod games. It's online was fun, but this series, while always popular, didn't hit the stratosphere in popularity till CoD4. If Call of Duty canon starts for you at CoD4 and above, this is a decent early effort in the series, and a good launch title for the PS3, even if I like CoD 2 on the 360 a lot better. Solid effort though. (I do hate the forced sixaxis controls though).
