If you're playing solo and get the "Up'n A Toms" and die, you will enter and arcade where you have to play games to earn a self revive token. There are plenty of games you can choose to from and some take longer than others to earn the self revive token.
The fastest in my experience is the "Bowling for the Planets" game. You need 200 points to earn the self revive token, so 4 times the 50.
It is actually very easy to hit the max score of 50. Take one or two shots to center your shot at the 50 and then always aim for a 3/4 force shot. So hold the shot trigger until the bar fills to 3/4 and you will hit the 50 every time.
Once you have this down, you will be out of the self revive arcade room in under a minute.
