A new multiplayer trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard has been released.
Players will play as Special Forces during WW2, with a host of period accurate weapons and equipment. Sledgehammer recruited an expert WW2 historian for Vanguard, to allow for an accurate cast of different countries, cultures & ethnicities.
Each playable character will have their own unique backstories, which can be accessed by the new Quip system.
Sledgehammer are introducing “reactive gameplay environments”, which will allow players to destroy designated weak spots, and break down doors & windows during gameplay.
A cover system has also been implemented, which will allow players to mount their weapons in their cover spot, as well as blind fire, which may keep them from imminent danger, but comes at the cost of accuracy.
Sixteen maps available for core play will be present on release, as well as four additional maps for the new game mode, “Champion Hill”.
Call of duty: Vanguard is set to release on November 5, with an open beta beginning on September 10.
