Call of Duty: World at War tendrá lugar en el Pacífico, así como el Frente Oriental. involucrando a Estados Unidos, el Imperio del Japón, la Unión Soviética, y la Alemania Nazi, en batallas como la de Peleliu, la batalla de Okinawa y la de Berlín.
