There were six Mercenaries that had moved to the house in the south-east corner of Dead City, as they originally had been assigned to help me with the Ambush raid on Freedom ( video 435 ) after it concluded. I would go visit them since, two squad leaders and four men spread out in a defensive line. They were there for some time until a recent Emission caused one squad to depart and the remaining squad of three-men was eventually reduced to two after mutants killed one of them.

I heard gunfire when I was outside the Mercenary Base and went to check on them, coming from the north in a direction I normally don't take. When I arrived on the scene, I saw one dead Mercenary and a Monolith going to loot him, that I shot quickly with my AN-94. I went inside one of the buildings, knowing there were more outside and shot another approaching me, through the window with my shotgun. My Mini-Map told me one was still out there so I cautiously moved around and when I circled around and came out on the far side, I saw him as he was shooting at me. I retreated and was attempting to go farther out in the hills to snipe him. I climbed on the roof of the building outside of Dead City on the far hill and it is here where my Game crashes and the video was forced closed.
