Call Of The Zone - #654: Zombies & Military Take Flea Market
I left the Flea Market, where I was alone, due to wanting to get rid of excess weight ( supplies ) at my hidden stash. As I have mentioned before, once I realized the Faction relations could constantly shift and change the paths of travel and if locations of Faction main bases and stashes were still safe access. Normally Rostok is a good central location for the southern or lower Zone. Plenty of open stashes, good security at the gates and the least chance of something getting to you, if you're in Rostok deep enough.
In Clear Sky, the ever changing Zone made the paths of travel to Rostok become lost or unpassable. The Flea Market become the focal point of the Zone and a central location for the most action in the Faction Wars. Having this hidden stash in Garbage brought back that Clear Sky feeling when you realized there was no Rostok in the Game. Likewise when Duty flips back to an enemy, it is like losing that location to travel to in Clear Sky. Once Duty flips then the Bandits are not far behind them.
When I returned to the Flea Market, I found it overrun by Zombies. I shot one and then the rumble of a coming Psi Storm shook the ground beneath me and I started running in front of the Flea Market and then past it, just as I heard the sound of a Bloodsucker breathing down my neck. I turned to shoot it and made it inside the trailer where I was able to pick off the remaining Zombies. Rather than looting them, I thought they should remain as bait for any passing Faction squad good or bad. I thought if I just waited long enough, the empty camp would draw someone to it. Eventually that happened as a Military squad showed up. Do I shoot them as they are my enemy? Or do I not risk that action could tip Duty into the enemy category?
