Call Of The Zone - Bandito #131: Dangerous Bug-Out From Jupiter
It was time to leave Jupiter. More than anything, I was getting low on shotgun ammo, especially after my attack of the Volkhov Anti-Aircraft Complex and my passage underground to find the Heart of Oasis, and the shotgun was the best weapon to clear mutants. For that reason my time in Jupiter was limited. While it was feasible to maintain a Bandit Camp at the Container Yard, being right next to a mutant spawn point made it difficult and without me being there at the time. At least half of the front sentries might have been killed by Bloodsuckers, Chimeras, Burers and Pseudogiants that roamed the woods and hills nearby.
Little did I know my departure would be so complicated. First, only two of my Companions followed me ( I've had trouble with them following keyboard commands lately ) and we were immediately attacked by mutants at the Container Yard entrance. While traveling up the hill and past the Ventilation Complex, I got a message that Ecologists were under attack at the Checkpoint and maybe Duty was involved. As we were staying clear of the Checkpoint, going eastward to the Jupiter Plant complex, I thought we would be safe. However, upon coming to small bridge going over the concrete basin, I notice a huge amount of dead bodies ahead, of various Factions and one lone Ecologist fighting a Bloodsucker.
I tried to shoot the Bloodsucker first but then the Ecologist spotted and began shooting at me. After taking him out, my two Companions ( I knew all of them would appear with me once I went to a new level ) and I went to loot the dead, only to find more mutants on the other side to deal with. There were at least five dead Ecologists, dead Mercenaries and various mutants. It must have been a grand battle. Standing there with my two Companions, while looting, I realized we were coming under fire, and I heard yelling as a Dutyer came running at us from the same way we had come. Even after killing him, there was continued shouting and firing. I could waste my time trying to find them or continue on our way. We ran, right into a swarm of mutants and Zombies. Then my Bandit Companion with the PKM stepped up to clear the way for our exit.
