After meeting Doc, an Emission hit and I barely had time to make it to the Pump House. Doc was long gone and out of sight, when the Emission was over, and I attempted to catch up with him. I thought he might be up by the Village Ruins, where my Companions are but he was not, so I continued north-west back to the Boat House. I did not detect Doc anywhere, even when I went to the barbed wire edge of the level. I suspected that he was nearby but just beyond my range. I followed the barbed wire eastward and found the opening that allowed me to go farther north.

At the railroad bridge, and next to derailed train cars, I found a Pseudodog that was calmly standing outside the entrance to a cave. Descending into it, I found Doc playing the guitar. Doc still had no change to his dialogue but past experience with him, sometimes his dialogue is different when sitting compared to walking somewhere. This is the first time in CotZ, that I have encountered him as an enemy. He's not really that hard to find, as he makes various paths back and forth from his Cave, sometimes going to the trailer on Anomaly Island, and then going back to the Clear Sky Base. That's a location I won't go until they are allies someday.

FYI, if you don't know this, Doc will loot the dead so if he gets to them before you do, you're out of luck. Doc will also arm himself and use weapons against attacking mutants. I just wonder if he had been armed at the Pump House when I first met him, would he have used it on me? I guess I'll just have to find out.
