I was so busy trying to figure out what Faction was at the Burnt Farmstead, that I wasn't paying attention when a two-man squad appeared behind me. I had not been paying attention to all my surroundings because I had tunnel vision in one direction, which is something you don't want to do in the Zone. Luckily in my case, it was a Bandit squad that was poorly armed. I hired them as Companions, outfitted them with better weapons and then I released them. Since they were newly released Companions, they returned the way they had first come. At least they have a better fighting chance now.
