I had just snagged a couple of artifacts, just outside in the most northern field of the Dark Valley, when I get a frantic message from another Bandit, that they were being attacked by a Pseudogiant down at the Lake. I ran south along the walls of the Bandit Base as fast as I could. When I got to the Lake, I did not see a Pseudogiant or any bodies, but there were some Flesh and Boar about, but they were on one of the islands. When I was on the southern shore of the Lake, my Mini-Map detected one person, but I soon lost them and could not detect anyone again.

Just south of the Lake is a camp under some trees, that have a lot of junk placed in a circle, as if for protection from expected attacks. It was there that I found a single body, of which I saw was a Bandit. He did not have the name of the Bandit, that had given me the radio message asking for help. I went back eastward and looked down at the island, that was on the other side of the road. No one was anywhere at that section of the Lake. I turned back around, and way up on the hill to the west, what had been obstructed by the grove I had been in, was the large body of a dead Pseudogiant.

I ran over to it, now puzzled at who killed and where did they go? I looked further south at the far end of the Dark Valley, there was an abandoned Pig Farm, that was favored by both friendly and enemy Factions camping in the Dark Valley. There was no other place other than the Bandit Base, Gas Station and the Old Warehouse. All places too active with Bandits or like the Old Warehouse, just dangerous all around from everything. I continued walking south to the Pig Farm where I found the missing two Bandits, including seeing the name on my PDA of the Bandit that had give the distress call.

However my Mini-Map said 5 Stalkers were present. My PDA only identified 2 Bandits so the other three were either allies, just walking into range but too far to be identified...or enemies that could be even closer and about to show up as red dots but a dozen feet away. The mystery was solved by the sudden yelling and shooting of Loners, back at the main gate going to the road. I returned fire, as did the other two Bandits, but I didn't know how many more there might be, so I ran north and out of the Pig Farm, to get a better elevation up on the hill. Was this a rescue or a rout?
