I leave the Yanov Tower, to go get the meat parts from the Burer, that I shot at the end of the previous video. This was really fortunate that I spotted the Burer so far away in the pitch black of night. Trapper had given me the task to get him a Burer hand, and I thought I was going to have to enter the Eastern Train Tunnel to find a Burer, or two. I'm still trying to raise my Faction relations with the Loner Faction, and this was a much needed 50 points when he gives me my reward. My score is raised from -289 to -239 and I noticed my Duty score was creeping up slowly to 954. I have not taken any actions for that increase. Freedom was in the green at 1,035.

I'm back outside at 2am where I'm watching for men and mutants once again. A couple of Freedom come from the south and pass just west of Yanov Station. Both offer the same job of a friend captured by Monolith, which isn't one I want to take. The fog creeps in and makes visibility not worth staying outside. I check my PDA relations and the DFR has dropped me with the Loners to -388. That means I just lost 149 points for some random action happening elsewhere in the Zone, that I cannot control. Freedom has risen to 1,119, an 84-point increase, from 1,035 for things I did not do. This is the lesson about the DFR, if you are in the green it is easier to increase. Likewise, being in the red, your enemies go deeper in the negative range. It is the yellow zone, especially in the negative range where you are in danger of turning an ally into an enemy. It can be frustrating but that's just the random nature of the DFR that makes your Game challenging.
