Cally's Trials Let's Play Part 29 - Lackluster Final Boss And Ending
0I suppose I shouldn't have expected much otherwise, but the final boss for this game was nothing special or even that interesting. With how the area was set-up, it was very easy to stay out of any attacks it could launch at me and chip away at its health until it was dead. Finding a blind spot or safe area in a tough boss battle can be a saving grace, but with how it works in Cally's Trials, it simply removes any challenge or even thought to dealing with bosses.
I know the story wasn't anything to write home about either, yet I have to admit that it was so abrupt and brief that it doesn't feel like closure for the game. I realize I beat the final boss and the game, but without something more significant to tie it all together, it doesn't feel like that's the case. I guess this shows you shouldn't let things merely drop off the cliff edge at the finale, because it does set the mood for a person's final opinion of the game.
