10Hey Guys, Lil Johnny Red here with an episode of my Playthrough with Ashes - Hard Reset a Total Conversion for Doom 2 , Enjoy :D
We are back again with more Ashes, the new installment is out and it's not screwin around. It puts us into the Boots of Walker, the scavenger that saved the main protags life in Ashes 2063 as he investigates a School Campus long since abandoned for some useful scrap he can pawn off for enough money to have a few stiff drinks.
It's also set three years prior to the events of the first game, you might find a few familiar faces and places from prior games, Walker has an entirely new roster of weapons and tools to use as the player desires, without spoiling anything I'm gonna say right now, go download this and play it it's well worth the few hours you'll take to beat it.
Notes - I'm playing on Survival, yes I'm going to use the crowbar a lot as not only stealth is encouraged a lot more but the ammo supplies aren't exactly plentiful early on "also might be saving something for later down the line"
* Got some complaints about that earlier with Afterglow, to that I say Get Stuffed
- Yes you can sell medkits again, a lil bit of hurting is worth the extra scrap i'm going to make once I reach a merchant
- The thumbnail is not Clickbait, it's part of the mod.
- Despite the requests of some "or rather one enthusiastic person" I'm not going to make use of any Shaders, Mobility Mods, Neural Graphic Upscaler packs or anything that adds a filter over my screen to quote "Make my game look new, because doom looks sooo old". I use some minor adjustments via GZdooms own graphical options and that's it, it's all I need and to be frank it's all you need too. you don't need much to make it look good, just turn off Sprite Smoothing/Filtering and you're good.
* Those shaders, graphic upscaalers and filters make doom look worse and sometimes play worse, especially on weaker hardware like low-end PC's or Cellphones.
