Can It Be!? New Twisted Metal Game In Production!? Maybe MMO? Please Come To PC!!
33Video Game Chronicle is reporting that Liverpool studio Lucid Games has been tapped by Sony to produce a new Twisted Metal game, and that the game has begun early development. There's no time frame for a launch, but the series, which will star Anthony Mackie, Marvel's Falcon, is slated to appear in 2023.
Notably, VGC's source claims that the new Twisted Metal "would be built around a free-to-play model, partly in response to Destruction All-Stars’ last-minute transition from a premium game to a PlayStation Plus title." That car-combat title was released by Lucid in February, where it was met with middling reviews.
