Can You Beat Gran Turismo 2 With FWD Cars ONLY? (Front-Wheel Drive)
349Front wheel drive cars otherwise known as FF or FWD are the backbone of almost every Gran Turismo playthrough. If you avoid acquiring the trusty MX-5, you'll almost certainly find yourself behind the wheel of a cheap front wheel drive car to help you get you on your feet & overcome that dastardly Sunday Cup.
Over in the real world or at least the UK that counts as the real world right? Anyway in the real world everyone I know has learnt to drive in a front wheel drive car. I've not been able to find anything on the internet to state otherwise.
They're universally recognised as the starting point for any driver, they're easy to drive, hard to go wrong with & they're generally on the cheaper low powered side of the market. But what if we locked ourselves to only driving front wheel drive cars, what positives and negatives would we come across from a challenge like this?
Well let's outline the rules for today's challenge playthrough.
We can only use cars that have the front wheel drive drivetrain otherwise stated as FF in-game.
That's it, those are the rules, what you expected more from me here? This is very straightforward.
I can tell you what the end goal in today's video is though however. Our aim is to make it all the way to the GTWC of Gran Turismo 2, this means we'll have to overcome all the national & international leagues beforehand, acquiring a different front wheel drive car from all the applicable nations and pushing them to their respective limits in order to handle the competition they'll be facing. This game isn't very long if you make a beeline straight for the main events, but there's plenty of challenge to be had here regardless.
