Can You Beat S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat With Super Jump?
2Major Degtyarev got himself a new pair of shoes the other day. These shoes had anomalous qualities, allowing him to jump insanely high. Watch as he scales large hills, buildings and receives a dose of karma fresh from the oven after things take a frightening turn.
I also decided to switch it up a bit with the editing of this video as to not recap over previous strats and plot points that I've already covered in my previous runs.
At 20:49, I mention that I used a glitch to get back into the safe zone in Pripyat after the stalkers didn't allow me to enter due to the safe zone being on high alert (happens following a nearby squad becoming hostile if the player attacks them). To bypass this and access the safe zone, I simply drop a large weapon (preferably a Gauss Rifle) between the doors of the safe zone to move them apart. In their glitched state, both doors are far enough apart to allow me to pass through them. Works best when aiming a weapon between any gaps/openings in the doors. This works for other objects as well, providing that they aren't part of the level's geometry (doors that can be opened are separate from a level's geometry). Touching such objects while they're in a glitched state as explained above will almost always kill or severely injure the player as their character model's hitbox is colliding with the glitched object, registering as what can only be described as fall damage in-game (didn't affect me in this run as the mod used negates all fall damage for the player). The above glitch is demonstrated at 21:33. I am not the founder of this glitch and I could not find any sources that detail any legitimate founder(s) of said glitch (mostly used by speedrunners of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games).
At one point, I do pick up an exoskeleton up from the top of a building. I placed it there myself at one point. Visiting this location will not net you a free exoskeleton.
