The Xcom project that I been talking about and teasing is finally here!!! This was by far my biggest project. In making this video it felt like I was making a mini film which was pretty awesome.
Since this was my first time playing through all of Xcom Enemy Unknown I decided to go with not the most difficult challenge and to play this on normal. I would say this challenge was pretty difficult and during this run I thought I would had to restart the entire attempt.
I am very happy how all this turned out and and it was really nice to do a non Halo Wars challenge run. I also tried for some parts of not using a script to feel more natural. I also tried some new things in the editing process with a focus on retention. I'm hopping this video is more entertaining than all my previous videos.
I also tried my best with the audio level. Since this was such a big project I wasn't able to final all the recording voice wise (it was a total 18 pages) in one sitting. Causing me to be slightly different voice wise during the video. I hope this doesn't effect the experience too much.
It's kinda crazy to think that this video is actually done. I legit worked on this video since July. So 3 months has past. I would love to do more Xcom videos in the future, since I now really enjoyed this game after playing through it once. But don't expect the xcom videos to be very frequent since they require a ton of work into them.
Last thing is I think the direction with my challenge videos is to make them known as a Magicalgarrn challenge run. What I mean by this is that a lot of people have their own style of challenge run and I see people just record and that's it (I do still enjoy these videos so don't get me wrong). I wanted to set myself apart by making my challenge runs waaaay more edited with zooms, sound effects, visual effects and etc. That way it feels different and when you click on one of my videos you know it will be different.
Well those are my thoughts and feelings atm and if you read this far, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed the video.
