So I went and got myself mixed up in another TTRPG content challenge. This time around the objective was to create a five room dungeon, the narrative structure originally codified by Johnn Four of https://www.roleplayingtips.com/ If you prefer to read, the contents of this video are also available as a blog post at https://makestuff.karlagius.com/can-you-escape-the-inquisitors-prison/

I went ahead and based mine on a jailbreak from an Inquisitorial Prison, because that fits perfectly in the setting of The Four Horsemen. It was also a great excuse to revisit the Inquisitor's Palace in Vittoriosa. The one in the game is rather fictionalized for the sake of gameplay, but I think it still gives off the right vibe :) You can find the FREE pdf at https://makestuff.karlagius.com/5rd-inquisitors-prison.pdf or if you prefer to have it in your DTRPG library, https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/523095/the-inquisitor-s-prison-a-five-room-dungeon (also free). It is designed for EZD6: The Four Horsemen, but is easily adaptable to any TTRPG system and any level of play.

Thanks to ‪@bonewizard‬ for some very useful advice, and ‪@QuestBoard_Terrain‬ and Chris for helping me playtest this! You can also find the playlist with all the other entries in this Jam at    • DungeonĀ JamĀ 2025Ā Ā
