Cancer Bats have released the song “Backstab The Rat Race” with a music video see below... They dropped the song earlier in 2025 ... in response to the public support through a crow fund ing campaign, following the theft of their van & trailer.

Speaking of the song the band stated:
“‘Backstab The Rat Race‘ is all about rejecting the traps of modern society. Grinding 50+ hrs a week, at a job you hate, only to have everything in life double in price. The game is rigged. So in rejection we find our own ways to navigate this world, our own ways to win. Think past the standards set for us that don’t apply. The newest the biggest the shiniest will just keep us running in place where only banks and corporations are the real winners. Leave the game for them to play and we can enjoy our lives filled experience and joy.”
