In a world torn apart by the ravages of war and Tiberium's destructive spread, a fragile alliance forms. But their struggle is far from the only one. The return of the SCIRN, an ancient alien race that first seeded Tiberium on Earth, shifts the balance once again. With their arrival, a new war begins—one that threatens not only the survival of humanity but the very existence of Earth itself. The SCIRN’s motives are unclear, but their ultimate goal is unmistakable: to eliminate all who stand in their way, whether human, mutant, or machine.

As GDI and the mutants face off against Nod's fanatical forces and CABAL's cold, digital might, they must also contend with a far greater existential threat. Will the uneasy alliance between GDI and the mutants be enough to fend off the combined forces of Nod and CABAL, or will the SCIRN’s invasion mark the final end for all?
