The game where this took place is Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3. Aster Phoenix has a premade deck that centers around Special Summoning and reviving the Dark Magician of Chaos from the graveyard at no cost, and then obtaining the spell for that back as a result of the summon. It allows for a theoretical infinite loop.

On paper, this sounds neat, but it relies heavily on deck excavation. Monster Gate and Reasoning are the nails in his own coffin, especially since Aster has almost no monster cards.

I have a specialized mill deck that blows through cards quickly, but Aster basically did the job for me. I barely had to do anything. Hah!

This was really funny to record, honestly. Seeing the infamous Aster Phoenix / Edo Phoenix dig his own grave while I sipped coffee and laughed. Good stuff.
