Wow! This was a long video. I had to split it up into two parts because of this.

This is a walkthrough of Map 5 of Canterlot Siege 3 (retro Map 1). You can unlock the retro maps after beating one of the first four maps in the game. This video covers Waves 1-40. Waves 41-57 are covered in the second video.

The basic towers in this game all have same prices and upgrade prices. However, their attacks and ranges have been adjusted to make them weaker or similar to their prequel counterparts. In addition to their attack power upgrades, range upgrades, speed upgrades, they have effects upgrades, where their attack effects do more damage to the enemy, stun the enemy for a longer period of time, etc.. Super abilities are back as well.

Support towers are similar to the support towers in CS 2, but all of the towers now have a super upgrade, which can be linked to one basic tower (boss towers are not effected). The basic tower gets double the upgrade from the support tower.

Super Powers are back as well. I don't use them in this video, however.

Boss Towers are new in this series. Those towers can only be acquired by paying 200 bits and 1 gem. The gem can only be acquired by defeating a boss in Waves 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50.

Orbs can be obtained by defeating an enemy. You can use this to upgrade certain basic towers, but you don't really need them to be honest. =P

Tower infos:

Changelings are similar to Fluttershy in Canterlot Siege 1 and Dr. Whooves in CS 2. They can slow down enemies. Super ability allows them to slow down enemies further.

Gildas are similar to Applejack in CS 1 and Lyra in CS 2. They are close-range attackers and have the fastest attack speed. Super ability raises their critical hit chance by a lot.

Rovers are similar to Rarity in CS 1 and Bon-Bon in CS 2. They have the highest attack range, but their attack has been nerfed since every basic towers in this game have the same build cost. However, the gems they throw bounce around other enemies. The gems deal 50% less damage for every bounce, but the super ability allows Rovers to throw diamonds, which deal 30% less to enemies per bounce instead.

Night Guards are similar to Vinyl Scratch in CS 2, except that their attacks do not hit everyone around them. (And they're a lot better than Vinyl Scratch, too.) Super ability allows the Night Guard to throw spikes that travel all the way to the other side of the map until it hits an enemy. The spikes have 4% chance of stunning an enemy.

Sunset Shimmer is a combination of Twilight Sparkle from CS 1 and Derpy from CS 2. Her fire attacks can slowly sap health to enemies that get hit by her attack. Super ability increases the burn damage time and can hurt multiple enemies at once.

Trixie can attack a single enemy and can reduce their defense. Super ability allows her to attack all of the enemies around her, making her a very effective tower.

Support towers:

Iron Will- Increases attack power of all basic towers around him. Changelings' attacks can slow down enemies further.

Suri Polomare- Increases range of all towers around her. I use her a lot, since her super ability can double the range of Rover, which turns him into a deadly sniper. She also makes Trixie's super ability really useful, since reducing defense of enemies can help wear down enemies further.

Lightning Dust- Increases speed of towers around her. This is very useful for Boss Towers, since Boss Towers have very high attack delay.

Flam- Increases amount of bits collected upon defeating an enemy. Useful early in the game.

Boss towers:

Nightmare Moon- Fires a moon in a boomerang-like fashion.

Discord- Summons a chocolate rain cloud that hurts enemies as they pass underneath it. The cloud disappears after several seconds. The best Boss Tower in the game. Buy him ASAP, and watch him KO your enemies one by one.

Queen Chrysalis- Fires a laser in a straight line. Has the shortest attack delay, but also has the least attack power.

King Sombra- Fires a giant crystal that splits up into eight smaller crystals after it lands.
