Wait, this was actually released in the arcades first? I mean, it was only a month ahead of the consoles but I just didn't think it was headed there. For a few reasons, too.

This...is not good. This should be a dream match scenario, but it doesn't feel like it. It truly feels like a cut and paste of characters from a bunch of games, and well...that's literally what it is. You can read up or watch the "history" and the reviews of the game if you want, but I'll just stick to my one thought: This doesn't even feel like a dream match. This feels like a random select of names and it doesn't work at all.

First, you've got Street Fighter just dominating the lineup where it shouldn't. Then, you have only a tiny few Capcom IPs represented. I'm not necessarily against the chosen characters. Sometimes, crossover games will pull random characters and it kind of works. I know I'm going to get Ryu in a crossover, but Zangief? Not guaranteed, so I love seeing that. But you're telling me that the OG Final Fight trio couldn't take up a team slot? No Mega Man? No solos like Strider, Spencer, Arthur, and Dante? No Resident Evil? No Rival Schools? This whole lineup makes no sense and the game is not good enough to make up for that.
