About each character
King:
King is a skilled Muay Thai fighter who became famous after defeating a famous Muay Thai champion. For several years, King portrayed herself as a man... first because she wanted to hide her identity to avoid the dangers of Southtown, and also because she thought people would take her more seriously as a fighter. Five years before the events of Art of Fighting, King suffered a humiliating defeat by Jack Turner and his biker gang. After the event, she was forced to work for Mr. Big as a bouncer. When Ryo Sakazaki defeated her, her identity was exposed and she agreed to help him find his missing sister, Yuri. After Mr. Big was defeated by Ryo, King was freed of her obligations to him.
During Art of Fighting 2, she continued her passion for street fighting until her younger brother, Jan, needed an operation to regain the use of his legs. She entered the King of Fighters tournament hoping to win the prize money to pay for the operation. At the end of the tournament, she was surprised to see Jan walking on his own two feet. It was revealed that Ryo and Robert paid for the operation in gratitude for her help with finding Yuri. She remained good friends with Ryo for many years after, even all the way up to the Buriki One timeline.
In the King of Fighters series, King was a consistent member of the Womens Team, her original teammates being Mai Shiranui and Yuri. Sometime during KOF, she opened up her own bar in England called the Illusion, and hired two waitresses named Sally and Elizabeth. She later opened up a bar in Southtown. In King of Fighters 2000, Yuri begged her to be her replacement and King accepted. Robert Garcia doubted her credibility and challenged her to a kicking contest. After the contest came to a draw, Robert accepted her. During The King of Fighters XI it was revealed that King possibly has deeper feelings for Ryo than "just friends."
Vice:
One of the Hakkesshu, Vice joined forces with fellow Hakkesshu, Mature so as to serve their master, Orochi. The two often took orders from the superior Hakkesshu and one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi, Goenitz, though she didn't like him. Goenitz ordered her and Mature to keep tabs on Rugal Bernstein; a man who desired to wield Orochi's power and had been granted some by Goenitz. They posed as his secretaries to keep a close eye on him and kill him if required. When Rugal kidnapped Saisyu Kusanagi at some point during or before The King of Fighters 1995, Vice was ordered to brainwash him. She succeeded, though not without difficulty due to his resistance to the process, for which she developed a grudge against him. After Rugal died at the end of the KOF '95 from being unable to contain the Orochi power, Vice and Mature's duties were switched to keeping an eye on Iori Yagami instead, due to his Yagami heritage of the Orochi power. They were to bring him to the King of Fighters 1996 tournament. At the tournaments conclusion, Goenitz arrived and their identities were revealed. When Goenitz was defeated by the combined efforts of Kyo Kusanagi and Iori, Vice and Mature were called upon by Goenitz to help. However, the two betrayed him, deciding to use Iori to attempt to awaken Orochi, having liked his company and hated Goenitz all this time. Their plan backfired however, as with Goenitz's vengeful warning before passing away, Iori entered the Riot of the Blood and the two discovered he was unable to control the Orochi power. Before the two could do anything, they were killed by him. Although dead, the two can take the form of solid shadows in the living realm.
Chun Li:
Chun-Li (春麗, also チュン・リー, Chun Rī, simplified Chinese: 春丽; traditional Chinese: 春麗; pinyin: Chūn Lì) is a character in Capcom's Street Fighter video game series. The first playable female fighter of any fighting game franchise to gain mainstream recognition, she made her first appearance in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior in 1991. In the series, she is an expert martial artistand Interpol officer who restlessly seeks revenge for the death of her father at the hands of the evil M. Bison, leader of the Shadaloo crime syndicate. Since her debut, Chun-Li has become a mainstay of the franchise and one of its most popular figures, appearing in nearly all subsequent installments.
