-About capcom vs SNK 2-
Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, known in Japan as Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 (カプコン バーサス エス・エヌ・ケイ 2 ミリオネア ファイティング 2001, Kapukon bāsasu Esu-enu-kei Tsū: Mirionea Faitingu Tsū Sausando Wan), is the sequel to the fighting game Capcom vs. SNK. It was originally released on NAOMI hardware in arcades. As in the original, players select a team of fighters from various Capcom and SNK games then fight other teams, winning each battle by defeating all the opponents from the other team. Aspects of the first game were tweaked, including the Ratio system. In contrast to the fixed system of the original, players can now freely select characters and assign each of them a number from one to four (or "Ratio") determining their relative strength, adding up to a maximum team ratio of four. Teams can now consist of a maximum of three characters, as opposed to four in the first game. Additional characters were added, including more characters from Capcom and SNK titles outside of the Street Fighter and King of Fighters series, for a total of 48. The Groove system from Millennium Fight 2000 has been augmented to include four new systems of play based on various Capcom and SNK fighting games. In addition, the number of buttons has been increased from the Neo Geo standard of four to the six button system first seen in Capcom's Street Fighter.
The game was initially ported to the Dreamcast, followed by a version for the PlayStation 2. The GameCube and Xbox received an updated version titled Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO, with the "EO" referring to "Extreme Offense", a game option intended for novices to the game. The PS2 version was later released on PlayStation Network in July 2013.
-About each character-
-Dan-
Dan Hibiki (Japanese: 火引 弾, Hepburn: Hibiki Dan) is a player character from Capcom's Street Fighter fighting game franchise. He was created to parody Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia, the two lead characters of SNK's Art of Fighting series, as Capcom saw Ryo as a ripoff of Street Fighter characters Ryu and Ken. Since then, Dan has become a fan favorite due to his humorous design, signature moves, and mannerisms. Introduced in Street Fighter Alpha, Dan is consistently portrayed as an overconfident, arrogant, and utterly feeble character. In the series' storyline. Dan was a student trained by Gouken, who also trained Ken, Ryu, and is the elder brother of Akuma. Gouken stopped training Dan, because he would only train for selfish reasons. Dan’s goal is to defeat Sagat, who killed Go, Dan's father, in a brutal fight that resulted in the loss of Sagat's right eye. After Sagat pretending that he was defeated, Dan opens an unsuccessful school for his fighting style, Saikyo-ryu ("Strongest style").
-Ryo-
Ryo Sakazaki (リョウ・サカザキ, Ryō Sakazaki?) is the main protagonist in Art of Fighting, forming the first half of the Japanese series's namesake as the The Invincible Dragon (無敵の龍, Muteki no Ryū?).[1][2] His name is frequently written in katakana; earlier games used to write his name in kanji (坂崎 亮, Sakazaki Ryō).
In Gamest's 1997 Heroes Collection, Ryo was voted as the staff's twenty-fourth favorite character. He shared the spot with Sie Kensou and Toru Kurosawa, a character from Sega's Last Bronx. In the Neo Geo Freak's 1997 Volume 8 character poll, he was voted as the seventeenth favourite character with a total of 602 votes. And In a 2005 poll made by SNK-Playmore USA, he was voted as the fifth fan favorite character with a total of 193 votes. Both Nobuyuki Kuroki and Youichiro Soeda have Ryo as their favorite character from the Art of Fighting series.
