Captain Commando is a fictional character and the protagonist of a video game series developed by Capcom. He first appeared in the arcade game "Captain Commando" released in 1991. The game is a side-scrolling beat 'em up, where players take control of Captain Commando and his team to fight against various enemies and bosses.

Captain Commando, also known as Captain, is the leader of the "Commando Team," a group of crime-fighting superheroes set in the futuristic Metro City. The team consists of four members:

Captain Commando: He is the main character and wields a powerful energy gauntlet called the "Commando Gauntlet." He can perform a variety of attacks and special moves to defeat enemies.

Mack the Knife: Mack is a cyborg who wields dual knives and excels in close combat. He has the ability to electrocute opponents with his "Cyber Stab" move.

Baby Head: Despite his appearance as a baby in a robotic suit, Baby Head is a highly intelligent and skilled fighter. He attacks enemies using various gadgets and projectiles.

Ginzu the Ninja: Ginzu is a ninja warrior who uses his speed and agility to swiftly defeat opponents. He is armed with a sword and can perform acrobatic moves.

Together, Captain Commando and his team battle against the evil organization called "Scumocide," led by the notorious villain known as "Genocide." The team fights through different levels, encountering a wide range of enemies and bosses, to ultimately save Metro City from Scumocide's grasp.

Captain Commando has also made appearances in other Capcom crossover games, such as the Marvel vs. Capcom series, further expanding his popularity and recognition among gamers. Although the series hasn't seen many new releases in recent years, Captain Commando remains an iconic character in the history of beat 'em up games.
