Captain N: The Game Master was a cartoon that aired between 1989 and 1991 which attempted to leverage many of the popular NES games of the time. The story focused on Kevin Keene, who was brought into the realm of Videoland by the "Ultimate Warp Zone" to fight the forces of Mother Brain. Joining him was the ruler of Videoland Princess Lana, an in-name only Mega Man, a rather odd interpretation of Simon Belmont, an anthropomorphised Game Boy, and the incorrectly named Kid Icarus.
