Capture One In 2 Minutes - Culling Images Faster Using Loupe and Focus Masking
In this series, we will explore Capture One tips, tricks, and quick tutorials, all in about 2 minutes or so. I dedicate this series to those looking to move from Lightroom or are a bit confused by all of the user interface options Capture One offers to those looking to get the most from their photography.
In this episode, we take a look at some of my favorites tools for culling images. The loupe tool is pretty amazing and quite accessible with its hotkeys. Using this on thumbnails is also a godsend for being able to quickly determine if we have sharpness where we need it. My other favorite is the focus mask, which can give a pretty quick visual indicator for focus in both the image viewer as well as in the thumbnail area. These tools can help photographers efficiently decide which images to keep and which to shoot or replace as part of their workflow.
