This occurred May 8, 2015, at about 1PM in Buena Park, California at the 91 Exit and Beach Boulevard. I see accidents here maybe once every 3 months or so. Beach Blvd has a speed limit of around 45 MPH (most people go around 55 MPH), and has a very high volume of cars, so if you miss the light, it's very hard to stop at those speeds. It also rained recently, and Californians generally aren't used to driving in those conditions. I'm glad all parties made it through without hitting anyone.
This is also a good reminder to look at all traffic before going through an intersection just to make sure you can go through safely. Mistakes happen (if you've driven long enough, you know you've made a plenty), and hopefully we can get automated cars soon to avoid loss of life and accidents.
I'm listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History on 1.4x speed playback with silences removed on World War I ("Blueprints for Armageddon"): http://www.dancarlin.com/hardcore-history-series/
