Welcome to Aberdeen. The year is 815 ME, Modern Era

This continent is divided both by craggy terrain and political powers. The Radaford Alliance, a collection of city-states and suburban regions united by the Radaford Decree, monopolizes Aberdeen's Southern region. Controlling most of its ports and shores, it thrives on the influx of both trade and cultural ideas. Its most prominent port city is Baldur's Gate followed closely by Hero City (a metropolis of technology and scientific progress) and Tasselheart (a city of the Dalelands, whose meritocracy and progressive political reforms have greatly influenced most of the South’s political landscape).

Beyond the Great Desert liest the Eastern Spire, a harsh but fruitful land rife with different human, orcish and goblin societies and tribes. Primarily under control of the Boar Tusk Pact, its helm city, Durotar, manages to keep warring factions under peace talks. Surrounded by a myriad of forests and deserts, the Eastern denizens thrive off the land, excelling in agriculture and ancient magics. Rural farmlands like Deeping Dale and RokRokKanna thrive by the great river Nathanix. The Quivering Forest, being a subject of interest for those who seek to uncover the very secret of the Weave, is protected by ancient magic to ward off selfish pillagers.

To the North trudging to the West lie the frozen wasteland of Mascopa where magical residue of the ancient battles fought by the gods before the Great Separation dwell. The Magnus Imperium has kept a vigil over these lands for fear of a resurgence of ancient evils.

In Western Side of Mascopa, well within the boundaries of the Magnus Imperium (The Great Empire). Having had 14 generations, the Great Empire has slowly spread to encompass the surrounding societies of the region, absorbing many different city-states under its wing.

Under the current rule of Alexander Korvalis, now in his 65th year, most are left to their own devices. Its inhabitants live as they did before with the exception of being taxed a tithe of what they produce and earn.

Follow its rules, worship its gods, bow before the installed leadership.

In return, imperials are protected from the chaos that usually stalk well-accomplished civilizations. This arrangement has led to a prosperous century for the Magnus Imperium’s political elite.

Everything is owned by the empire and run by the empire. Anything that does not abide by its rules and norms, is summarily put to death.

Our story begins much smaller. The rural town of Sugate has found success in trade of ale, fish, crops and adventurers guilds.

Here in this town of abundance and booze, paths start to cross and destinies align.

We begin at around the 18th hour of the 24th of Occober, in front of the Boulderforge Inn. It is cold and your feet hurt from the cobblestone road and your long journey across the land.

A masked man donning leather armor adorned with pockets and pens, stands across the candle lantern-lit establishment of the Boulderforge Inn.
