I tried out this remake project called Open C1 instead of using DOSBox again, as it was very difficult to record and edit the video and the quality wasn't great. I'm impressed considering I think it uses original code and assets and was made by one person I think. It generally runs well but it's missing a few features:
• prat cam
• power ups
• mines don't do damage
• rear view mirror
• damage indicator on the HUD
• race doesn't end so you just have to quit when you get bored
• adjust camera settings
• main menu settings
• video settings (to adjust resolution etc.)
• multiple kill combos multiplier thingys
