My latest VGM cover is also my entry in Soundole's Chillout 2023 competition! Vote for me! I'm not a crook!
This is one I have been wanting to do for a while. It took me a while to get the beat and vibe right but I am really happy with how it turned out. I really enjoy doing GBA titles because the sound chip is so grainy and compressed that it allows for me to interpret the songs differently than other people might, or I might come up with completely new instrumentation instead of what the GBA was producing.
Also, this song was originally on Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Genesis, but they brought it back for this game in quite a bit different style and arrangement. I tried to pay homage to both versions in this one but it definitely leans more towards the GBA version.
Thanks for clicking and checking it out! Keep a steady supply of holy water, too!
