Paranoia's first form is a joke. If you repeatedly attack him, he will have no time to strike back, because if you hit him, he will withdraw his knife which he'd use to stab you.
Paranoia's second form is a bit harder, but still not a big threat. He's much bigger and he'll fly around the room. At a certain moment, he will stop and fly above you. He's getting ready to land on you. To avoid getting hit, move away from him. He'll often hide in the mirror, shooting a laser beam out of his hand. This will reflect on all the other mirrors, and it'll give you a slight hint of which direction the beam will go.
