People have disputed luck in the game as not mattering for boss chests. Too often though, there's no control, so no true verifiable way to acquire any real stats on this. "I got my rare in 3 runs with only 5 luck!".

I've been running tests all week with different amounts of luck, and different amounts of group members.

Observations from roughly 500 runs:

Luck seems to be a cumulative effort. Running with fewer people seems to give rares less often. Also, if one person doesn't have luck gear on, the odds of getting good items seem to go down. Or if one person is playing a character with a lower base luck, the odds seem to go down.

Luck only seems to affect the items in the chests, and not the player who gets them. Thus, you don't need high luck if everyone else is wearing luck gear to guarantee a drop. But if you do have high luck, you're only helping everyone else out.

Notes about the video:

This is 3 of 5 consecutive runs with 3 Soma's, all with 51 luck, an Alucard, and Julius with 42 luck. Getting 6 players all too cooperate with tests isn't an easy task. Not only does everyone have to play their role (sometimes a player forgets to equip a piece of gear or the Dead Warrior Soul), but real life sometimes means that players can't play for more than a few runs.

The first isn't included, but it gave garbage.
The third run isn't included, but was the best overall drop in the test. My video recorder froze up and we lost the run. Two Claimh Solais+1's, a Valmenway+1, and a Retro Count soul dropped that run.
The last two runs were actually a 6 player run, but one of the players was having connection issues.
