This video is about Castlevania II: Simon's Quest is a side-scrolling action-adventure game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987 (Japan) and 1988 (North America). It is the second installment in the Castlevania series and follows Simon Belmont as he embarks on a quest to lift Dracula's curse. During the day, towns are safe, and NPCs offer hints. At night, enemies become stronger, and town areas become dangerous. Players collect hearts (currency), purchase weapons and items, and gain experience points. Progression requires deciphering cryptic clues, some of which are notoriously misleading due to poor English translations.
