Skipping the Gravedigger for a New Game speedrun (done on first visit).

This skip shares the same main principle with v1, but it differs in crucial ways. With version 1, you have to manipulate the falling platforms so that only one of them remains, jump over a wall, then go under a wall of collision to reach a small floor from which to do a backward long jump.

This version 2, exploits the fact that if you keep “block” held as the platform starts to drop, the game lets you do one ground move in air once you are falling. From there you can do a launch in air, turn Gabriel around with a couple of air attacks (setting up a backwards jump), then use your second jump to do the backwards long jump towards the exit area.

You don't need to hit the ledge as I did, going nearly anywhere to the sides of the cylinder usually results in a successful skip (search for the grapple point if in doubt). This version also doesn't use up any Holy Water bombs, and is quicker too.

Not in vid: I also, tried to do a Shoulder Charge long jump in air - instead of a launch - but it's either impossible or the game knows you're in air when you try this move.
