And after that he just stops consuming count. Combine that with spark discharge, the fact S2 and S3 are naturally neutral in count when fully charged and you don't need to worry about count anymore at all.
How could I have been so foolish to ignore EGO spam for status effects, RR2 has warped my vision a bit too much with it's rupture resist.
