Victorious is an American sitcom created by Dan Schneider that originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2010 to 2013. It follows aspiring singer Tori Vega, a teenager attending a performing arts high school called Hollywood Arts, and her classmates Andre Harris, Robbie Shapiro, Jade West, Cat Valentine, and Beck Oliver.
A running gag in the show is that Cat, played by then-unknown pop sensation Ariana Grande, is stupid and/or childish. In the episode titled "Terror on Cupcake Street," Jade gives Cat her keys to play with, like how one would distract a child. Cat is then seen chewing on the keys in the background, until Jade asks for them back and Cat reveals that she accidentally swallowed one of them.
