Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a 2018 American thee-in-one platform video game collection, developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision, which contains remasters of the first three games in the Spyro series: Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage!, and Year of the Dragon.

Ripto, the game's primary antagonist and final boss, hates dragons. So, when he sees Spyro for the first time, he tries to cast some sort of spell on him, only to have his magic scepter stolen by a fairy. Gulp, a monster who does Ripto's bidding and serves as the game's second boss, tries to eat the fairy but eats the scepter instead.
