Catching a shiny Ditto in Pokémon Emerald using RNG Manipulation
A video of me catching a Shiny Ditto in Pokémon Emerald (the game is played on the Gameboy Player for Gamecube). The Ditto was not a random/full odds shiny but a precalculated one. When the internal battery of the Gameboy Advance cartridge is dry, it can only produce the same frames. This means that you can know exactly at which frame the game generates a shiny Pokémon. It's also interesting to note that in Generation 3 games, when a shiny Ditto transforms, the shiny sprite of the transformed shiny is displayed. In the other games, a shiny Ditto that uses Transform on a non-shiny Pokémon will turn into a non-shiny Pokémon. This video showcases this.
