Here's the thing : unlike the Shiny Male Nidoran I got a few days ago, this Onix didn't come from the augmented odds from a catch combo due to using a Perfume. The thing about Catch Combos is that the augmented shiny odds only apply to the next Pokémon you're doing a Catch Combo for. All other Pokémons that appear afterwards are regular odds, or rather 1/2048 in this case since I had a Perfume up.

In this case, after I caught the Onix, the very next one wasn't shiny, but the next Onix to spawn did appear shiny, which was indeed outside of the Catch Combo odds. In other words, I was very lucky !
