12.22.2023 | 5:00 PM | AURORA SPRINGS – Video shows Aurora Springs PD officers opening fire, fatally striking a suspect after a long standoff this evening.

The standoff occurred on Hillcrest / Rogers Blvd

The suspect was barricaded in their vehicle for approximately 4-5 hours.

After several hours of standing off, officers opened fire with a less lethal weapon after he reached inside his glovebox.

The suspect jumped out of the vehicle from the passenger side, when officers opened fire.

The suspect possibly had a handgun, however, this has not been confirmed.

The suspect has been pronounced deceased on scene by ASFD.
