Cavalcadence plays Monk 41: Speedrun (sub-12) (All Zones Mode: AMPLIFIED)


So just for fun, I thought I'd try some Monk speedrun attempts again. And on the very first run... this run happened. ^^;

The game for some reason decided to provide Monk with a 1-1 Obsidian Longsword and a 1-1 Ring of Peace... and those two items arguably carried the rest of the speedrun. ^.^ And despite me definitely making some careless mistakes along the way, Monk not only made it to the end... but somehow made it with a final time that was actually within 5 seconds of my personal best (PB)! (Monk 29)

So I didn't quite manage to beat my current PB, but it was my second ever sub-12 Monk win, so... ^_^

- Oh wow, that's a nice start. =)

- Even nicer. =)
- And yeah, I did notice there was a secret shop, but it would've required two bombs, a decent amount of time, and wouldn't necessarily have been something useful for speed... and Obsidian LS + Peace was already a really nice build, so... ^^

- Was planning to use the "mega quick" strat... but unfortunately that bat moved right in the way, and its gold basically blocked the quick path to the throne. =p
